My Outback's all wheel drive and paltry torque figures also prevent burnout hoonage.
Haven't tried a straight burnout in the Datsun yet. Just donuts and drifting in the rain.

I know that feel now... well for the last 3 years. RWD capable, but too big of tires to spin with the lack of power available. It sucks.

All three cars at my house are burnout capable...Not helping.
I can't believe that 3800 can't break the tires loose.

The only vehicle in our household that could has 260K on it, so I would rather not. My sisters car's 80ish torque and fwd is inadequate. My mother and I own all wheel drive vehicles.

Sounds like you and I need to find some high horsepower RWD vehicles and do some proper burnouts!

I could always disconnect my front drive shafts XD. I would prefer doughnuts in a parking lot (I'm sorry officer, I had not idea that this store was still open).. Maybe I can talk my way into a new M4?

You tried using the parking brake?

That is one of the reasons I love driving my truck. Bike is down for some service work and truck is main transport. Short burnouts at lights have become so much fun that I am now worried about a ticket. Can't help it, so much fun.

Front wheel drive with big-arse tires and 70% of the car's weight sitting right on them. My method is to get in first, set the parking brake, brake and gas at the same time till I hit torque converter stall, then slam the gas down and release the brake at the same time. Usually spins them a tiny bit but nothing sustained or particularly impressive, just a bit depressing.

The tires are grippy as hell longitudionally (but not laterally, as I've found on the autocross course), and most of the weight of the car and engine are on the front wheels. A neutral drop might do it, but would be almost certain to grenade my gearbox.

You could try going from neutral to drive.

I feel like a 223,000 mile transmission won't take kindly to a neutral drop.

You may be right. The world may never know.
